LOS ANGELES (AP) — Caitlin Clark had 11 points and 10 rebounds for her first WNBA double-double as the Indiana Fever defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 78-73 on Tuesday night.
Clark's two clutch threes in the fourth quarter sealed the victory for Indiana, which snapped a five-game losing streak and earned its first win of the season.
Victoria Vivians led the Fever with 15 points, while Aaliyah Boston added 14 points and 9 rebounds. Breanna Stewart led the Sparks with 22 points, followed by Nneka Ogwumike's 18 points.
The Fever took control of the game in the third quarter, outscoring the Sparks 25-16. Clark had six points in the quarter, including a three-pointer that gave Indiana a 52-44 lead.
The Sparks rallied in the fourth quarter, cutting the deficit to 70-68 with 2:30 remaining. But Clark hit another three-pointer to give the Fever a five-point lead, and Indiana held on for the win.
The Fever will host the Dallas Wings on Friday night, while the Sparks will travel to Las Vegas to face the Aces on Sunday afternoon.
