JJ Redick, the 39-year-old former Dallas Mavericks shooting guard, has announced his retirement from the NBA. Redick, born in Cookeville, Tennessee, is widely regarded as one of the league's greatest three-point shooters, having made 1,950 three-pointers over his 15-year career.
Redick played for several teams during his illustrious career, including the Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks, Philadelphia 76ers, New Orleans Pelicans, and Mavericks. He averaged 12.8 points per game and 41.5% from three-point range throughout his NBA tenure.
After his playing days, Redick plans to focus on his podcast, "The JJ Redick Podcast," and pursue a career as a sports analyst.
